A standard Stage 1 remap is usually completed the same day. However, if the control unit architecture requires boot-mode access or any technical issue arises, the timeframe may be extended, as completion times vary according to the specific complexity of each unit.
At full load, instantaneous fuel consumption increases in line with the additional power. However, thanks to the gain in low-rpm torque, the engine becomes more flexible and can run in higher gears with less effort, resulting in lower fuel consumption during normal driving.
